As a therapist, Dean has 29 years clinical experience and an advanced clinical qualification in treating the muscles, joints and nerves in the spine and limbs, alongside a PhD qualification in Physiotherapy from King’s College London. Dr Phillips thesis investigated the awareness of posture and movement in people with and without low back pain.
Dean has a specialist research Masters qualification in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and a Member of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP) in recognition of achieving a standard of excellence in the management of musculoskeletal conditions.
He has worked in a variety of clinical settings – a national sports council treating elite athletes including world champions and Olympians, as well as physiotherapist at National and International sporting events; private physiotherapy clinics; a chronic pain centre; private and NHS hospitals; and in occupational health treating NHS staff for local Primary Care Trusts. He has also lectured at the University of Southampton (1995 to 2009) to undergraduates and taught specialised clinical skills to qualified physiotherapists.

Paul is a Chartered Physiotherapist and Sports Therapist. After graduating with a first class degree with honours from The University of Chichester in Sports Therapy, he went on to achieve a distinction in a Masters of Science degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Southampton. Paul is a passionate individual who treats his work as a passion.
Outside of the clinic, he likes to be challenged in a variety of sporting hobbies, that helps to ensure physical fitness and mental alertness.
Alongside his role as Director at Cura Healthcare, Paul also holds a number of other professional positions: Academy Physiotherapist at Southampton FC, Sports Physiotherapist at the Sport Performance and Rehabilitation Unit – University of Chichester, Associate Lecturer – University of Chichester, Managing Director at Allsports Therapy.
Richard is an experienced musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with advanced qualifications in manual therapy and injection therapy.
Throughout his career in academia, Richard has produced research papers and led the teaching of Physiotherapists coming through University. From extensive research, particularly focused around anatomy and muscle fatigue, he gained his PhD from the University of Southampton, having already been awarded a Masters in Neuroscience and Physiotherapy. He utilises his experience, in-depth research and clinical skills within the clinic to treat a wide variety of pains, be it acute or chronic in nature.
Carol has been with Cura Healthcare over 5 years and is primarily responsible for reception and administrative support. She maintains the day to day smooth running of the clinic and is the friendly voice at the other end of the phone if you have any questions.
